Shri M. B. Rajesh, Hon’ble Minister for Local Self-Governments, Excise, and Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Kerala, honoured Shri Raju N. Subramanian, Chairman of the Athachi Group, in recognition of his distinguished achievements and contributions across finance, aviation, agriculture, nature conservation, and entrepreneurship.

The honour was conferred during the inauguration of Swaralaya Samanwayam 2025, held at the Rappadi Open Air Auditorium, Fort Maidan, Palakkad. On the occasion, the Minister presented the award citation to Athachi Amma, Founder of the Athachi Group and mother of the Chairman.

Commending Shri Subramanian’s journey, the organisers highlighted his over two-decade-long tenure with Emirates, which earned him international recognition in aviation finance and enabled him to build a strong global network. This experience later culminated in the establishment of Athachi Consulting, his independent aviation finance venture.

They further lauded his leadership in nurturing diverse initiatives spanning sustainable agriculture, holistic wellness, ultra-luxury skin and personal care, renewable energy, investment management, financial advisory services, and integrated marketing communications. All these ventures are unified by his core philosophy that the welfare of nature ensures the welfare of the world – an approach that harmoniously blends ancient Indian wisdom with cutting-edge innovation.

Athachi Amma lit the ceremonial lamp along with the Hon’ble Minister and several distinguished personalities from public life, including Shri V. K. Sreekandan, the Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Palakkad, Ms. Madhavikkutty M.S. IAS, District Collector of Palakkad, Smt. Pramila Sasidharan, the Chairperson of Palakkad Municipality, District Panchayat President, governing body members of Swaralaya and many eminent artistes.

Swaralaya Samanwayam brings together a rich confluence of Carnatic and Hindustani classical music concerts, dance and music presentations, and select fusion performances. The 11-day-long festival serves as a vibrant platform that unites celebrated artistes and emerging practitioners, reaffirming its mission to promote and preserve India’s performing arts traditions.
