Pre-planning meet for ‘Water Mission Palakkad 2030’ held at Athachi Farms
Shaped as a nature-led campus with integrated water management practices, Athachi Farms became a natural setting for the constituent meeting of Water Mission Palakkad 2030, held on 21 December.

Discussions were led by Dr. Vishwanath N. Subramanian, Managing Director, who also walked attendees through the journey of Athachi Farms — from once-barren land to a thriving biodiverse agroforest.
Dr. Vishwanath also shared the thinking behind Trust Nature®, the group’s long-term vision to restore nature’s regenerative potential and support sustainable farming in the face of climate change, drawing on a mix of ancient Indian, cow-centric practices such as Vedic Farming, Rishi Krishi, and Vrikshayurveda, alongside contemporary approaches including Dabholkar, Miyawaki, permaculture, biodynamic, and biodiversity-based farming, supported by nature-friendly technologies.
“Our biodiverse agroforest farm in Palakkad is a testament to what this integrated approach can achieve,” Dr. Vishwanath noted, referring to Athachi’s More Than Organic™ method in practice.
Participants sincerely appreciated the sustainable and innovative approach, while a lunch curated from the farm’s own produce added a memorable touch to the day. Many expressed their gratitude for the MD’s presence and support, along with enthusiasm for working together on future water conservation efforts.
