Overview

Habitat
Medium trees with brownish-grey bark.
Compound leaves, 2-3 pinnate, pinnae 5-9, imparipinnate, opposite.
Bisexual flowers in lax terminal racemes, reddish-purple outside, pinkish-yellow within, long racemes.
Fruit is a capsule, 2-valved, compressed, tapering at both ends; seeds winged all around except at the base.
Found in moist deciduous forests, also in the plains.
