The delegation, led by the Group’s Managing Director, Dr. Vishwanath N Subramanian, Group CEO Mr. Kalyana Krishnan, and CMO Mr. Ravi Krishnan, apprised the Chief Secretary of this revolutionary Trust Nature® initiative and called for bringing ancient agricultural wisdom to the forefront that once flourished across India.

Dr. Vishwanath said, “Having successfully transformed a 20-acre arid land in Palakkad into a thriving biodiverse agroforest farm by combining ancient Indian wisdom and modern eco-friendly technologies, we evolved the Trust Nature® initiative. This not only restores Mother Nature’s regenerative power but also preserves and nurtures the biodiverse ecosystem, fosters a harmonious coexistence, helps achieve sustainable farming, and addresses global challenges such as Climate Change.”

He impressed upon the Chief Secretary the group’s Fellowship Program which will inspire, guide and train enterprising youth to take up sustainable farming as a start-up idea, and requested the government’s help to reach out to the institutions.

Dr. Vishwanath also presented the comprehensive Research Report on Palakkad Gap done over the last 24 months by a team of researchers from Kerala & Tamil Nadu. The Chief Secretary showed keen interest in the research report which explores the geological, geomorphological & biodiverse characteristics of this low mountain pass in the entire Western Ghats range. Initiated and fully funded by Athachi Group, the research findings have significant implications on the ecological and economic growth potential of both States.

Based in Palakkad with business activities spanning India and the Middle-East, Athachi Group passionately combines traditional Indian wisdom and modern technological breakthroughs to create sustainable farming solutions, wellness offerings, farm produce, skincare, and personal care formulations. The group is now all set to take the Trust Nature® initiative far and wide, and help India reclaim its position as a global thought leader in sustainable farming practices.
